Weather:

Since the wind normally is very good in this area, it is considered as one of the best for sailing in Denmark.
In case of high-pressure weather the Bay of Køge offers a nice seebreeze of 8-20 knots from east-south-east and in case of low-pressure is offers westerly winds in different strengths.

Køge Touristbureau. It is also possible to put up a tent at the marina free of charge.

 

Storage:

If you want to sail another regatta in the area (for instance Kiel or Kaløvig), it will be possible to store the boat on trailer here, a few weeks before and a few weeks after the regatta.

 

Køge is situated 30 kilometres south of Copenhagen, only 45 minutes from Malmö/Sweden and 3 ½ hours from Kiel/Germany.

The racing area is normally just outside of the marina.

There is a stationary crane to launch the boats, which can be used free of charge during the regatta.
