Score for each regatta
The winner of one regatta will receive a standard score of 100.0 points. All other participants will receive points between 0 and this maximum score corresponding to their final position on the result list.
Calculation of the overall Baltic Challenge result (“Best 3 out of 5”)
The overall result is calculated as the average of the best three results of a sailor (e.g. sum of the best 3 results divided by 3). If only two results are listed then the 3rd result is set to 0 but the average is still calculated by dividing by 3. If less than 2 results are available for a particular sailor then the overall points are set to 0 (this means in turn: a sailor has to compete at least in two of the five series to show up in the Baltic Challenge result list).
The sailor with the highest score will be the winner of the Baltic Challenge 2009.
Prize Giving
The Prize Giving for the Baltic Challenge 2009 will take place in 2010.
